The pricing is completely transparent: R300 one-time hardware cost (the GT06 OBD device) and R99/month subscription. That's it. No activation fees, no SIM charges, no data overage fees. The subscription includes all features, cloud storage, and South African customer support.

Any vehicle with an OBD-II port — which includes virtually all cars, SUVs, and light trucks manufactured after 1996 (in South Africa this means most vehicles sold after 1997). This covers Toyota, VW, Ford, BMW, Mercedes, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, and hundreds of other makes and models. We don't support older vehicles without OBD-II ports or most motorcycles.

Koloi updates your vehicle's location every 30 seconds by default, with accuracy of 5–15 metres under open sky. In urban areas with good cellular coverage, tracking is reliable and near-real-time. GPS doesn't work in underground parking — the last known location is stored. You can adjust the tracking interval between 10 seconds (high accuracy) and 5 minutes (battery-saving mode).

Yes. You can add unlimited vehicles to your account. For individual use, simply add each vehicle and pair its device. For fleet owners with 2–10 vehicles, our standard plan covers you. For larger fleets (10+ vehicles), contact our fleet sales team for bulk pricing and dedicated fleet management features.

Yes, fully. Koloi is built for South African data laws. Your data is stored on South African servers. We never sell your data to third parties. Drivers receive consent notifications before tracking begins. You can export or delete all your data at any time ("right to be forgotten"). Fleet managers can enforce retention policies automatically.

Yes — this is one of Koloi's most popular features. The app automatically generates SARS-compliant logbooks with trip dates, start/end locations, odometer readings, and Business/Personal classification. You can export monthly or annual reports in the exact format required for your tax return. This saves accountants and self-employed drivers hours every month.

Koloi activates Stolen Vehicle Recovery mode, which increases location update frequency so authorities can track the vehicle in near-real-time. You'll also receive a continuous stream of location data in the app. Note: Koloi is a tracking and reporting tool — actual vehicle recovery involves SAPS and your insurance company, not Koloi directly.

Currently the Koloi Tracker app is available on Android (Google Play). An iOS version is in development and coming soon. In the meantime, all features are accessible via the web dashboard at app.koloi-tracker.com, which works on any smartphone browser.

Absolutely. You can create geofences (virtual boundary zones) around home, school, or any location, and receive push notifications when the vehicle enters or exits. You can also set speed alerts — for example, get notified if the vehicle exceeds 120 km/h. Multiple drivers can be added to one vehicle with different permission levels.
